Maximalist DJs – wanted!

This is a message to all you DJs throughout the world: declare yourself Maximalist and make a stand against the monotony of minimal music.

In tandem with their current album “Hello World”, Monosurround have created a live event called the “Hello World” Show. It premieres on 4th December 2009 in Club “Maria” in Berlin and the motto is: Maximalism.

Here’s where you get involved. If you are a maximalist DJ anywhere in the world, Monosurround are looking for you to join them as support act, to get the crowd’s pulse up and ready to go.

Send your mixes to Monosurround. They will be posted in the blog and can be heard and commented upon by all readers. The comments received will influence the jury’s decision, made up of Monosurround, MS Recordings and Layb – Berlin Artists.

The result will be announced on 1.11.2009. The winner will travel to Berlin on the day of the event. All travel costs for the winning DJ (one person), hotel (up to 2 persons) food and expenses will be paid for.

The line up on the night: Monosurround – Live (MS Recordings, Citizen Records), Malente (Exploited, Fool’s Gold, Southern Fried, Splank!), Ki-Su (Electric Boogaloo/Goldmine) and, of course, the competition winner.

Application:

Applications will only be accepted until 4th October 2009 and must include the following: a downloadable link of up to 30 mins of your music (MP3, 128kbps) a short summary of your act and a press photo (resolution min 300 dpi). Send to: booking@monosurround.com
